At Modern Mermaid, we celebrate the uniqueness of our handmade seashell jewelry. As a result, all sales are considered final. We do not offer refunds or accept returns. We use real seashells and encourage you to handle with the utmost care.

Jewelry Care

Our necklace chains are 18k gold-plated stainless steel or gold-filled. We also use gold-filled jump rings and wire to securely attach shells and pearls to our necklaces and earrings.

What’s the difference?

18k Gold-Plated Stainless Steel: A durable stainless steel base with a layer of 18k gold. It's water-resistant, tarnish-resistant, and great for everyday wear.

Gold-Filled: A thick layer of solid gold (at least 5%) bonded to a base metal, making it more durable than gold plating. It resists tarnish and can last for years with proper care.

Please avoid contact with chemicals or products. After wearing, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft cloth to remove oils or residue.

To maintain the shell's luster, use a cotton pad with a touch of mineral oil for a gentle polish.
